The BIO-SENS
Company was founded in 1999 by Dr Catherine Thonat. This company, using
an INRA licence, brought together companies involved in the following
sectors: agrifood, cosmetic, pharmacology and petrochemistry, providing
expertise in: aroma analysis fingerprint acquisition olfactometry
BioFilm Control
is a start-up hosted by the Centre of Clermont-Fd - Theix (Microbiology
Research Unit - Team QuaSA) and led by Thierry Bernardi. This new
company works on the development of micro-organisms in biofilms and
their properties conferred by this mode of growth. Through
a new and original process, protected by an international patent, this
company proposes studying the formation and the stability of biofilms
generated by different micro-organisms (stemming from cell banks,
mutant banks). The development of this 96-microplate kit requires very
few manipulations to estimate the capacity of different micro-organisms
to form biofilms. Using this kit, BioFilm Control
also works on the screening of chemical compounds, originating from the
chemical compounds bank, on biofilms in order to select molecules
capable of inhibiting or delaying the formation of these biofilms. Contact: bfc.contact@wanadoo.fr
Founded in July 2004 with the support of INRA, the company Immuno Diffusion Biotechnologies
(IDBiotech), under exclusive licence (Inra-Transfert), together with
the innovation of the Immunochemistry team of the Clermont-Ferrand -
Theix Inra Centre (Animal Product Quality Unit). The manager is Vincent
Rivera. Immuno
Diffusion Biotechnologies is specialized in the design, development,
production and marketing of immunochemical diagnostic kits (radial
immunodiffusion, ELISA, ...). These kits are
intended for authentification (for example specific detection of
species) or quality control of raw products and transformed products,
in order to meet the needs of laboratories and industries of the
agri-food, pharmaceutical and veterinarian sectors. Contact : contact@idbiotech.com
