Description of the Centre

The Clermont-Ferrand – Theix Centre groups together teams based principally in Auvergne, but also in Limoges and in Lyon.

The Centre represents a strong potential for the Institute, since it employs 9% of total INRA staff and is the 3rd largest of INRA’s 21 research centres.

Its fields of research are multidisciplinary and its 30 units belong to 13 different research departments. The units include research units, experimental units, joint research units, contract-based units, research support units and their size varies from 10 to 175 staff members.

The Clermont-Ferrand Research Centre also represents a big place in public research in Auvergne.
The total budget of the Centre is 50 million euros (including salaries).
