National and international partnerships
Research generates and necessitates exchange, collaboration, lateral relations and formalised partnerships.

This may involve for example:
throughout the year, the Centre welcomes a large number of foreign students and researchers
from different countries (Algeria, Germany, Brazil, Great Britain,
Morocco, Syria, China, Venezuela, Togo, Vietnam, etc). There are about
40 at any one time and they stay anywhere from a few weeks to 3 years.
researchers from the Centre regularly go to research laboratories and universities abroad (United
States, Great Britain, China, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan,
etc) to learn techniques, develop partnerships or to collaborate in
research. Their stay can last from a few days to several years.
scientific twinnings with research centres abroad: two research centres based in Aberdeen in Scotland have signed twinning agreements with the INRA Centre of Clermont Ferrand-Theix. They are the Rowett Research Institute (RRI) and the Macaulay Institute (MI). Moreover, Clermont-Ferrand and Aberdeen are twinned.
